My Story
My name is Amy Darrington and I am a SuperStar Director with Scentsy. I wanted to tell you a little about myself and the reason why I have made it my mission to make sure EVERYONE knows what an opportunity that being an Independent Scentsy Family Consultant can mean for them. I am a mom first. :) I have three AMAZING children that keep me busier than I ever signed up for. :) Alex (09/99), LIam (10/07), and Madi (06/09) are the reason I get up every day and find purpose in life. I even love being a mom of a teenager! :) I began my journey in the Fall of 2008 when I attended my very first Scentsy Party. I was keen on the idea of a safe alternative to candles, as I had a bad habit of leaving my candles lit all over the house. It was love at first sight when I was introduced, and in January of 2009, I signed up to be a Scentsy Consultant so I could support my own growing habit, and get a little kick back from my friends orders. I never imagined what it would grow into. I was a very casual seller for the next year and a half. I decided to try to take my business more seriously in the Fall of 2010 when I was met with financial stresses I could no longer handle without the assistance of a part time job. With 3 small children at home, being able to work from home was of the utmost importance to me. I spent the next 4 months sharing the opportunity and products with everyone I knew… it was so easy to do! Everyone that meets a Scentsy product LOVES it! In February of 2011, I promoted to Director and then to SuperStar Director 20 months later on Halloween 2012. I lead a team of amazing people that I cant imagine my life without. Fierecly Fabulous team members span the globe... with represntation in Europe, Australia, Mexico, Canada, and all for corners of the United States. When you are ready to have some Scentsy in your life, where ever you are, we will be able to meet you there. :D I never imagined how being a part of this company would change my life. I am goal oriented, positive, and have leadership skills I never knew I had. I get to be myself, and that is so important to me. Im not scripted or told how to run my business and the business minimums are completely designed to accommodate any level of commitment. I have enjoyed challenges and victories, but my favourite part is helping others see the opportunity that being a consultant can be for them . Being a consultant with Scentsy has sent me on 14 completely free vacations to the Dominican Republic, New York City, Europe, and Mexico. I feel like I am a role model to my kids, especially my daughters. I have always tried to stress the importance of being independent and self sufficient, no matter what your journey looks like. My kids see me being able to support them and provide for all of their needs as well as tend to my own every once in a while. I never considered myself a “salesperson” and I still don’t. I have always just shared a product that has such a huge value proposition to EVERYONE and anyone. I am so proud to be a part of the Scentsy Family and I would love to talk to you more about how being a Scentsy Family Consultant can easily fit into your life.
